Overview

MJF Special Project Grants

Overview: Special Project Grants are made on an individual basis to support discrete, innovative projects targeting specific areas of need.

    Eligible Project Examples

  • Educating communities about the law or the legal community about access to justice
  • Establishing new legal aid or self-help law clinics
  • Advocating on specific legal issues affecting low-income or disadvantaged Montanans
  • Creating or revising pro se legal forms
  • Promoting increased pro bono service among the legal community
  • Making judicial processes more accessible or consistent
  • Any other project designed to further MJF's charitable objectives

Priority Focus

Priority will be given to project proposals that demonstrate a strong likelihood of having a lasting, sustainable impact in underserved communities.
