Mitsui U.S.A. Foundation Established in 1987, The Mitsui U.S.A. Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (Mitsui USA) for active, social contribution programs in communities where the Company does business. Currently, it supports more than 50 initiatives across the U.S. in the areas of Education, Community Welfare, Arts & Culture, Employee Matching & Volunteerism. Mission: To promote the realization of Mitsui USA’s good corporate citizenship by supporting education and programs to improve the quality of life in the local community. Objectives: To support well-developed programs of qualified U.S. organizations with status designated by IRS code 501(c)(3), which are engaged in promoting: education, community welfare, arts & culture, and employee volunteerism, with special emphasis on international education and U.S.-Japan exchanges.

Ineligibility

The Foundation cannot support: individuals; religious, fraternal, athletic organizations; political, lobbying groups; endowments, building campaigns; film, television (media) productions; advertisements; galas, dinner tables / tickets (raffles), social events; non-monetary support; any / all discriminating organizations; or other causes which may not be acceptable to Mitsui;The foundationavoids general operating expense support; and is not able to accept requests by telephone or email.
