MiSpace Grant

Overview: A $1M strategic initiative advancing teen mental health across Chicago's communities. Mielle Cares provides MiSpace Grants to Chicago area community centers.

Award Amount: Each selected community center will receive between $75,000 and $500,000

Focus Areas:

  • Youth mental health programming

  • Group therapy sessions

  • Mindfulness-based practices

  • Narrative therapy

  • Arts-based healing
  • Target Population: Youth ages 11–18 who often face systemic barriers to accessing care

    Geographic Scope: Chicago area communities

    Eligible Applicants: Community centers

    Program Components: Each MiSpace-funded program is built upon the Mielle Method approach to youth mental wellness, which emphasizes:

  • Mindfulness practices

  • Lifelong learning

  • Skill building

  • Personal growth and development
  • Funding Purpose: Support initial creation or expansion of youth mental health offerings and provide resources for partners to maintain them over time
