Overview

Central Carolina Community Foundation Central Carolina Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that links charitable people and businesses with areas of need in our community. We were founded in September 1984 by business leaders who wanted to establish a permanent endowment that would enhance the lives of citizens in the Midlands. Midlands Gives Midlands Gives, an initiative of Central Carolina Community Foundation, is a region-wide giving initiative that brings the community together to raise financial support and awareness for local nonprofits in 11 Midlands counties. In addition to being a year-round resource for donors across the Midlands, the Midlands Gives initiative amplifies donations during an annual 18-hour online giving day on the first Tuesday of May. Our Goals Raise the level of knowledge about nonprofit organizations in our community and highlight their positive impact on our well-being.Grow the base of engaged donors in the Midlands - bringing new donors to our nonprofit organizations.Support our local nonprofit organizations and improve their capacity through training opportunities. Our Impact Since our inception in 2014, Midlands Gives has raised over $32 million for local nonprofits in the Midlands.

Eligibility

To participate in Midlands Gives, your nonprofit must be:A 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization in good standing with the IRS and in compliance with the registration requirement of the South Carolina Solicitation of Charitable Funds ActHeadquartered or have a branch in one of the following South Carolina counties: Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda or SumterHave at least 1 full year of financial history as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization by time or registration.Agree to the Midlands Gives Participation Agreement, including the $10 technology administration fee
