Aflac Charitable Fund Competitive Grant

The Aflac Charitable Fund Competitive Grant supports local nonprofit organizations in South Carolina, focusing on health and education. Priority is given to programs aiding pediatric cancer patients and their families, as well as life skills initiatives. Organizations must comply with state regulations and can only submit one application per cycle. Previous applicants can reapply in future cycles, but declined applications do not carry over automatically. This initiative is managed by the Central Carolina Community Foundation.

Aflac Group’s grant program focuses on supporting organizations with a local, rather than a national or international, perspective. Aflac Group primarily accepts grant proposals from nonprofit organizations serving South Carolina.
The Aflac grants committee is comprised of a dedicated group of community-minded employee volunteers. Central Carolina Community Foundation staff supports the Aflac grants committee.

Eligibility

South Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofits (at least one year) with one or more staff members and an annual budget of $25,000 or more. Applications open March 1–15 and September 1–15.re about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website.
An organization may only submit one application.
All organizations must have a physical location in South Carolina.Any organization that is declined can reapply the following grant cycle. The original application will not automatically roll over the next cycle for consideration.Your organization must comply with the annual registration and financial reporting requirements for charitable organizations of the South Carolina Secretary of State and must be in compliance with all regulations of the South Carolina Secretary of State.

South Carolina nonprofits with a physical SC location, 501(c)(3) status for at least one year, at least one staff member working 20+ hours a week, and an annual budget of $25,000 or more. One application per cycle; grantees wait a full year before reapplying. Cycles: Mar 1–15 and Sep 1–15.
