Overview

Micro-Grants for Kingdom Reach

Funder: Foundation of the Great Lakes Conference Churches of God General

Program Overview: Designed to stimulate missional outreach and/or reproducing disciple-making in the congregations and agencies of the Great Lakes Conference.

Geographic Scope: Great Lakes Conference region

Eligible Applicants:

  • Qualifying congregations of the Great Lakes Conference

  • Agencies affiliated with the Great Lakes Conference
  • Award Amount: Maximum of $5,000 during calendar year 2026

    Key Requirement: Matching funds required from applicant organization

    Grant Purpose: Grants are meant to be:

  • Kingdom-oriented: Fund initiatives that advance the Kingdom of God "on earth as it is in heaven"

  • Transformative: Facilitate godly change in the lives of the people who are effected

  • Intentional and creative: Provide fresh, innovative ways of communicating the Good News of Jesus

  • Growth-oriented: Make disciples who make disciples
  • Application Deadline: December 10 (annually)

    Review Process:

  • Board considers each grant and is prepared to approve quickly by electronic means

  • May request additional information

  • Applicants encouraged to be thorough in applications
  • Reporting Requirements:

  • Six-month interim reports required

  • Use Micro-Grant Six Month Report form

    1. Pre-Application

    2. Prepare Application
    - Complete Micro-Grant Application form
    - Provide detailed information about proposed project
    - Be as thorough as possible in application (Board may ask for more information)
    - Include matching funds information from your organization

    3. Submit Application
    - Applications due no later than December 10 (annually)
    - Submission method: Electronic means preferred (based on quick approval process)
