Full Grants Program

Funder: Foundation of the Great Lakes Conference Churches of God General

Geographic Scope: Great Lakes Conference region

Eligible Applicants:

  • Executive Board of the Great Lakes Conference

  • Member congregations of the Great Lakes Conference

  • Camping ministries of the Great Lakes Conference

  • Organizations affiliated with the Great Lakes Conference (educational institutions and denominational interests) may request that the Executive Board or a member congregation file an application as an extension of its ministry
  • Key Requirements:

  • A clear connection must be made in the grant application between the eligible member and any affiliated entity
  • Grant Purpose: Grants are meant to be:

  • Kingdom-oriented: Fund initiatives that advance the Kingdom of God "on earth as it is in heaven"

  • Transformative: Facilitate godly change in the lives of the people who are effected

  • Intentional and creative: Provide fresh, innovative ways of communicating the Good News of Jesus

  • Growth-oriented: Make disciples who make disciples
  • Reporting Requirements:

  • Grant recipients are expected to file a report for each six month period that the grant is open

  • Reports expected by May 1 and December 1

  • Final report filed upon project completion

  • Failure to report within one year results in disqualification from future grant requests

    Application Process

    1. Preliminary Application Stage
    - Submit Preliminary Application (2025 Preliminary Grant Request Form)
    - Deadline: January 6, 2026 (based on historical deadlines)
    - Submission method: Hard copy or email to FoundationDirector@cggc.org
    - Location: The Foundation office, 700 East Melrose Avenue, Findlay, OH 45840

    2. Formal Application Stage
    - After preliminary approval, submit formal grant application
    - Must include clear connection between eligible member and affiliated entity (if applicable)
    - Applications should address grant purpose criteria (Kingdom-oriented, transformative, intentional/creative, growth-oriented)

    3. Required Materials
    - Guidelines for Grant Seekers (review before applying)
    - Completed 2025 Preliminary Grant Request Form
    - Detailed project description demonstrating alignment with foundation's grant criteria
    - As thorough as possible in application to avoid delays

    4. Board Review and Decision
    - Board carefully reviews and processes each Preliminary Grant Request and Formal Application
    - Applicants notified of disposition following Board decision
    - Board may request additional information

    5. Reporting After Award
    - Six-month interim reports due May 1 and December 1
    - Use appropriate semi-annual report form (see application section)
    - Final report upon project completion
