  • Background: Established in honor of Michelle Rogene Johnson-Anderson (1979 Panama Central School graduate), a lifelong nurse, educator, and mentor. Michelle earned her associate degree in nursing from Jamestown Community College (Nurse of Distinction), and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen College (magna cum laude). She taught at Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES School of Practical Nursing for nearly 20 years, inspiring generations of nursing students. She passed away in 2021 after being diagnosed with ALS in 2020. The scholarship continues her mission of caring for others and developing compassionate healthcare professionals.
