Overview

The SIOP Foundation is committed to improving the lives of workers and the functioning of organizations through the science and practice of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. The Michael E. Moomaw Scholarship has been established with the primary objective of fostering and promoting the pursuit of excellence in the field of Industrial-Organizational (I-O) psychology. This scholarship specifically aims to support students who are dedicated to exploring the contribution of I-O psychology to mentoring, coaching, and/or leadership development, recognizing the impact of these areas on professional growth and organizational effectiveness. Each academic program may nominate no more than one student per year. If more than one student from a program wishes to apply for a scholarship, the program must perform an initial screening.

Eligibility

Enrolled full-time and in good standing in a graduate program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., organizational behavior) at a regionally accredited university or college. Eligibility is not limited to students in programs located in the U.S.Be a Student Member of SIOP.Have an active program of ongoing I-O research, with some research completed and continued research planned. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.

Ineligibility

Individuals who will have defended their dissertation are not eligible.Nominees cannot have received a SIOP-sponsored scholarship within the last year
