Summary
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) invites proposals for funding to establish up to eight new Clubhouses across four regions. The focus is on regions currently lacking accredited Clubhouses, ensuring that adults with serious mental illness receive the necessary support and resources for recovery.Overview
Note: 1) Prequalification is required for all not-for-profit organizations seeking grant funding from New York State. 2) Prequalification applications submitted to the State for review less than 5 days prior to the RFP due date and time (as above) may not be considered. New York State Office of Mental Health The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) oversees a large multi-faceted mental health system serving nearly 800,000 individuals each year. This includes operating 23 psychiatric centers and overseeing the Nathan S. Kline Institute and New York Psychiatric Institute. OMH regulates and certifies more than 6,500 programs operated by local governments and nonprofit agencies. Mission Our mission is to promote the mental health of all New Yorkers, with a particular focus on providing hope and recovery for adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances. MH253014 - New York State Clubhouses Purpose of the Request for Proposal The NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) announces the availability of funds for the development of an estimated eight (8) new Clubhouses with the goal of (2) awards in each of the four following OMH regions: Central Region, Hudson River Region, Western Region, and Long Island. The RFP is open to two groups: current providers seeking to convert an existing program to the Clubhouse Model and providers seeking to open a new Clubhouse in these Regions. Existing programs are defined as programs currently receiving funding under OMH Program Code 0770 for psychosocial clubs or OMH Program Code 2750 for Recovery Centers. NYS OMH intends, through this RFP, to expand access to Clubhouses to geographic regions currently lacking accredited Clubhouses. If applying for more than one (1) Region, the applicant must submit a separate proposal for each Region.Eligibility
