Program Background

MGGA is a commodity-specific organization representing Montana wheat and barley growers. The association has been advocating for Montana grain producers for over 60 years. The scholarship program supports the next generation of Montanans pursuing post-secondary education in agricultural fields.

How to Apply

Application Requirements

1. Transcript - Current academic transcript required 2. School Involvement - List of school involvement activities 3. Community Involvement - Summary of community involvement 4. Essay - In 500 words or less, summarize your connection to Montana Agriculture and how Montana Agriculture relates to your field of study 5. Letters of Recommendation - 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members 6. Signature Form - Signature from a Montana Grain Growers Association member who is a non-family member to ensure a member connection has been made 7. Interview - Must participate in an in-person or virtual interview with scholarship committee (MGGA will contact you after submission to schedule)

  • Submit by the deadline (February 1 annually)
  • Applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted to schedule an interview with the MGGA Scholarship Committee
