AFCEA is a professional association that connects people, ideas and solutions globally. We do that by developing networking and educational opportunities and providing them worldwide in an ethical manner. This enables military, government, industry and academia to align technology to meet the needs of those who serve in critical areas, which include defense, security, cyber and intelligence. As a member-based, nonprofit 501(c)6 organization, we have a long history of encouraging innovation and advancing technology to ensure preparedness and security. We officially formed in 1946, but our organizational roots trace back to the Civil War. The association includes individual members and corporate members, and AFCEA's international regional chapter network helps members build networks, grow relationships and expand opportunities. AFCEA members and constituents include professionals in military, government, industry and academia. The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering competitive based scholarships of $2,500 each to students actively pursuing a graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) subjects at a U.S. school in grades K-12. The scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from ManTech International and AFCEA International. MG Eugene C. Renzi, USA (Ret.) STEM Teachers Scholarship One STEM Teacher scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded annually to honor the memory of Maj. Gen. Eugene C. Renzi, USA (Ret.). This scholarship is made possible in part by a generous endowment from ManTech International. The recipient will be selected from the STEM teacher applicants.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Graduate-level candidates must currently be in at least their second semester and taking at least two (2) semester-equivalent courses per term at accredited college or university in the United States and majoring in education for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects in a U.S. school in grades K-12 at the time of application. The expected graduation date cannot be in the year the scholarship is awarded. A current overall GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in their current program at an accredited U.S. college or university is required at the time of application. Applicants must have completed a B.S. degree in a STEM major. Credential/licensure candidates must be U.S. citizens with a completed B.S. degree or graduate degree in a STEM major (undergrad/grad transcript required). Must be currently enrolled and have started the program at the time of application.Scholarship awards are subject to availability of funding. Scholarship awards are restricted to tuition and course-related expenses, such as fees, books, supplies and equipment that are required for the courses at the university.
