Meridian-Cox Foreign Service Fellowship for Emerging Leaders

Overview: An enrichment and training program seeking to expand awareness and access to Foreign Service for those that express interests in diplomacy.

Purpose: To provide college students with week-long experience to learn about the foreign service and its culture through numerous activities and workshops.

Geographic Scope: United States (program held in Washington, D.C.)

Eligibility: College students interested in diplomacy and the Foreign Service

Program Components:

  • Diplomacy skills training courses

  • Networking sessions

  • Embassy and international organization visits

  • Simulation training

  • Meetings with high-ranking former and current State Department leaders
