Mentoring Programs that Promote Humanistic Care - Request for Proposals

Purpose: Fund mentoring programs that result in enhanced capacity of healthcare providers to deliver care that is as humanistic and compassionate as it is scientifically and technically sophisticated.

Award Amount: $25,000 over two-year timeline per grantee

Target Population:

  • Physicians and nurses in training

  • Early practice physicians and nurses

  • Medical educators and faculty

  • Health profession educators
  • Focus Areas: Mentoring interventions specifically designed to help physicians and nurses in training and early practice to be more humanistic in their patient care

    Mentoring Model Types Considered:

  • Traditional one-on-one mentoring

  • Group mentoring models

  • Peer mentoring models

  • Distance or digital mentoring

  • 'Hands-on' mentorship in clinical settings
