Common Scholarship Application Achieve your Higher Education Dreams In just one application, our Common Scholarship Application provides students access to more than 150 scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000. In 2025, San Diego Foundation awarded a record-breaking $5.5 million in scholarships to nearly 1,400 students.

Eligibility

Meghan Haggblade ScholarshipMeghan Haggblade Scholarship applicants should:Have resided in San Diego County for at least one year Be graduating high school seniors attending Morse, Lincoln, or Crawford high school, or a school in the Sweetwater Union High School District, or any high school in the City Heights or El Cajon regionsPlan to attend a community college or four-year university in CaliforniaHave a demonstrated passion for the environmentHave a minimum unweighted GPA between 2.0-3.5 on a 4.0 scaleWho Should Apply?Even if you’re not a straight-A, star athlete or student body president, we have scholarship opportunities if you have:Commitment to your educationPotential for success in collegeParticipation in community service, extracurricular activities and/or work experienceFree Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act are required to apply.

Ineligibility

None of our scholarships are available to foreign students studying outside the United States, or for students attending an institution outside of the United States.
