Overview

Sanofi supports medical and scientific activities targeting Health Care Professionals (HCPs) or Scientific Experts, provided there is no direct return for Sanofi. Sanofi must have no influence on the development, organization, content, or faculty selection of the program. Refer to the Sanofi website to review the current list of therapeutic areas. There are 2 application types: US IME (Independent Medical Education) and Medical Contribution. US Independent Medical Education (US IME) Use US Independent Medical Education (US IME) if you are requesting: A financial contribution to an organization to support the development and distribution of medical education content (live, web, enduring) for Scientific External Experts/Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in a therapeutic area of interest to Sanofi in which any of the below apply: IME activity occurs/location in US IME activity is accredited by any US accrediting organization,IME activity is unaccredited, but follows US accreditation criteria,IME activity for which most of the anticipated learners are from the US,IME applicant organization or payee, is located in the US Medical Contributions Use Medical Contribution if you are requesting: A financial contribution to an organization to support the development and distribution of medical education content (live, web, enduring) for Scientific External Experts/HCPs in a therapeutic area of interest to Sanofi, that does not meet the criteria above of US IME. Sanofi must not control or influence the content.This also includes a financial contribution to support general educational given during a medical event/conference whose target audience is HCPs. This is NOT for any event/conference with direct return for Sanofi.A financial contribution to a non-profit organization for the benefit of an individual grantee, to support academic/training institutions, HealthCare Organizations (HCOs) or professional societies, worldwide, in a therapeutic area of interest to Sanofi for:medical education programs (Scholarship) (e.g.: attendance fees, travel fee, tuition)advanced medical study or research (Fellowship) (e.g.: salary)Sanofi must not play any role in the selection of the individual grantee of the Scholarships/Fellowships. Do not provide the name of the selected recipient. A financial contribution to a worldwide non-profit organization (medical or research organization), to support their independent research program, in a therapeutic area of interest to Sanofi. The research must not be linked to a Sanofi product or active substance. The research must be supported by scientific or medical grounds. Sanofi must not control or influence the research. This is not for Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS).
