The Medical Center Auxiliary honors teen volunteers annually at an appreciation dinner. The Teen Scholarship Award recognizes outstanding teen volunteers who have given significant service hours to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Recipients are selected based on their volunteer contributions and future educational plans in healthcare fields.

Application Process

Teen volunteers are automatically considered for scholarships based on:

1. Hours of volunteer service completed
2. Participation in volunteer program activities
3. Essays submitted for creative writing contests (optional)
4. Design submissions for t-shirt contests (optional)
5. Overall dedication and performance as a volunteer

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated excellence in volunteer service
• Number of volunteer hours completed (30+ hours minimum for awards)
• Commitment to healthcare or related fields
• Positive impact on patients, visitors, and staff

Timeline:

• Scholarships awarded annually during summer Teen Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (typically July-August)
