Overview

The Martis Camp Community Foundation (MCF) was created in 2010 to support the Truckee community. Initially funded by Martis Camp developers and various annual club events, the MCF is now funded and run by the members of Martis Camp. Since 2011, the MCF has raised almost $1.9 million and granted more than $1.7 million to local nonprofit organizations and students in need. We expect to triple that number in the coming years and are aiming for 100% participation from our members. We are excited to see the MCF become part of the fabric of our community. Mission The mission of the Martis Camp Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in the Greater Truckee community by making a positive impact in the areas of education, youth development, human services and recreation. Four Focus Areas Grants are awarded to programs that have a significant impact on the greater Truckee community in four focus areas: Education The MCF supports educational institutions that promote learning and intellectual development and that make education more accessible and effective for all students. Youth Development The MCF supports organizations that provide services, opportunities and supports that enable young people to develop to their full potential. Human Services The MCF supports organizations that provide direct services to people in need, and help them lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
