Purpose and Qualification The purpose of a Regular Grant should be to promote: Promote historical interest and the preservation, cataloguing and display of historic memorabilia and items of historical significancePromote the support and expansion of local museums and the programs sponsored by them-including the support of historic pageants or re-enactmentsPromote ideals of patriotism, democratic ideals (including traveling programs, speakers, and essay or speaking contests relating to such areas) Promote the study and recording of genealogical data and the expansion of genealogical libraries Support for citizen naturalization programs Provide unique educational opportunities not offered in existing programsEligibility
