Overview: The MCBC Legacy Scholarship awards scholarships annually to individuals who want to further their education. The MCBC gives priority to students pursuing a construction-related degree at Florida-based institutions.

Award Details

• Maximum Award: Up to $2,500 per scholarship
• Number of Awards: Multiple scholarships awarded each academic year (exact number determined by MCBC Steering Committee)
• Fund Disbursement: Upon receipt of proof of enrollment

Eligibility Requirements

1. Applicant must enroll in a Florida-based community college, college, university, or trade institution during the year awarded or next semester in the school's academic year 2. Preference given to those pursuing construction-related degrees 3. Social Security Number required if selected (for distribution of funds)

Selection Criteria

The MCBC Steering Committee will review applications considering:
• Interest in construction
• Grades
• Extracurricular activities
• Employment experience
• Financial need

• Education at Florida-based institutions (community colleges, colleges, universities, trade schools)
• Priority: Construction-related degree programs
