Master Beekeeper Program (MBP)

    Application Process

    To Register for Exam:
    1. Email mbp@ncbeekeepers.org with:
    - Your name
    - Test you plan to take (Journeyman or Master)
    - Purpose: for planning (materials, space, and practical exam scheduling)

  • Attend Advanced Review session (covers exam expectations and preparation tips)

  • Attend "Ask the Experts" panel for specific questions

  • Topics reviewed: Colony sociology and behaviors, Hive Products (honey, wax, propolis, pollen), Pollination and Plants

  • Past review topics: anatomy, pests, diseases, anatomical systems, glands, pheromones, colony communication

    • Exam Format:

  • Written examinations

  • Practical examinations for Journeyman and Master levels

  • Registration recommended in advance for planning purposes
