Margaret and Vito D’Ambruso Fund

To help children who suffer from disfigurement or incapacitation from congenital abnormalities, genetic conditions, illness, or accidents and who require corrective treatment, specialized equipment, or adaptive capital improvements that their families cannot afford.

Eligibility

* Applicants must be classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization, a 509(a)(1) public organization, or have a fiscal sponsor for the request.
* Grant funds must benefit children residing in the Community Foundation’s eight-county region around Rochester, NY (Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties).
* Grants will be paid through a nonprofit organization working with the family. Limit one per family.

Ineligibility

* The Community Foundation’s competitive grants program generally does not fund special events, fundraising campaigns, religious activities, endowments, buildings (except for historical assets), or debt retirement.
