Summary
The Malacological Society Travel Grants support early career researchers in attending the MSA's triennial conference. These grants are intended for conference registration, travel, and accommodation expenses. Successful applicants are required to present their research orally and submit an abstract as part of their application. This initiative aims to promote the study and appreciation of molluscs while fostering collaboration among researchers in Australasia.Overview
About the Society The prime objective of The Malacological Society of Australasia (MSA) is to promote the study of molluscs. Our members include amateurs, students and scientists interested in the study, conservation or appreciation of molluscs. If you are interested in becoming a member, please refer to our membership page. The MSA is working towards becoming the umbrella group in Australasia (Australia, New Zealand and nearby countries in Asia and the Pacific) representing malacological interests. It is concerned with, and responds to, national and regional issues concerning conservation and funding for molluscan research, import/export controls etc. It has an international membership and is affiliated with other malacological groups including the American Malacological Society and the international organisation, Unitas Malacologica. Travel Grants Every three years in lieu of our Research Grants, the MSA will instead offer MSA Conference Travel Grants to support attendance at our triennial conference by early career researchers. Successful applicants will be expected to give an oral presentation at the conference, and provision of an abstract via the registration portal forms part of the required application documentation.Eligibility
