Overview

The Make A Difference Fund Grants, established by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, aim to support nonprofit organizations addressing the social and emotional needs of Veterans in Orange and Sullivan counties. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to organizations with an annual budget of $2 million or less. This initiative, which prioritizes community welfare, seeks to enhance the quality of life for Veterans through impactful programs and services.

The Make a Difference Fund was established in 2003 by leadership of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan to meet emerging needs in the areas we serve. This fund has supported children and families in distressed communities achieve success through grants to nonprofits providing valuable educational, recreational and wellness opportunities.
This year, the Make a Difference Fund will focus on supporting organizations that are providing programs and services to address emerging social and emotional needs of Veterans in Orange and Sullivan counties. To be considered, organizations must have an annual operating budget of $2 million or less. The program submitted for funding must directly impact the improvement in quality of life for Veterans in Orange and Sullivan counties.
Two to four grants up to $5,000 will be distributed this year to nonprofit organizations in Orange and Sullivan Counties.
