Technical and Trade Scholarship
Program Overview: This scholarship recognizes Maine students committed to further training in technical or trade fields and supports their transition into their profession.
Geographic Scope: York, Cumberland, Androscoggin, Aroostook, Franklin, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, or Somerset County, Maine
Program Details:
- Part of the Maine Merits Scholarship Program
- Total scholarship fund of $12,000 (doubled from previous year)
- Multiple scholarships awarded with minimum of $1,000 each
- Award may be used to purchase tools or equipment to support the transition into their profession

- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Electrical work
- Aesthetics
- Automotive/Autobody
- And other technical/trade fields

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a current or aspiring technical or trade student
- Must reside in York, Cumberland, Androscoggin, Aroostook, Franklin, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, or Somerset County, Maine
- Must have been accepted into a 2 or 4-year college, apprenticeship, post-secondary certificate program, or be directly entering the workforce in their chosen trade
