Overview: The Maine Blue Collar Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to Maine high school students pursuing trade school and career pathways in skilled trades.

History: The foundation was created in 2014 by Moody's Co-Worker Owned and became a nonprofit in 2017. Partners include Rowe Ford, Risbara Bros. Construction, Gilman Electrical, and Harbison Plumbing and Heating. Since 2014, over 120 Maine students have received scholarships.
Background: Created in response to Maine's critical skilled trades worker shortage. The foundation partners with Maine Community College System, Maine Energy Marketers Association, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) centers throughout the state.

Student Scholarship Application Process
Deadline: April 15th (annually)
Required Materials:
1. Completed application form (online or downloadable/mail-in version)
2. Typed essay addressing:
- Why you wish to receive the scholarship
- Your future plans in the trades
