MacKenzie Foundation Grant Jacksonville’s Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation offers grants for genetic research The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation is a private foundation qualified under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. It was established for the general purpose of funding initiatives to advance cures for specific diseases through genome research. The Foundation will only consider funding grants to qualified organizations operating in the United States that are qualified tax-exempt organizations with charitable purposes as qualified under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. All grants will be reviewed to ensure the request meets the Foundation’s criteria, legal and regulatory compliance requirements. We are looking for grantees involved in genome research (medical schools, health systems, hospitals and research entities) led by individuals dedicated to genome research and its relationship to the diagnosis and treatment of disease focused on cures. Applicants must have been in operation for more than five years in order to receive our funding. The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation funds leading-edge human genetic research (DNA, RNA, protein) to advance cures for cancer, lung disease, diabetes and heart disease The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation is a family-based American philanthropic organization dedicated to funding leading-edge human genetic sequencing and research (DNA, RNA, protein) and giving hope to advancing cures. Funding is available for tax-exempt United States based organizations and qualified collaborative partners on a mission to find a cure for: Cancer Lung disease (including asthma) Diabetes Heart disease Through its grants, the Foundation seeks to identify scientific researchers and centers of excellence dedicated to working collaboratively in sentinel genome sequencing and advanced research to identify risks of disease through genetic detection and to develop new treatment pathways designed to improve lives. The Foundation will also consider funding collaborative community partners led by qualified organizations that work together to launch and sustain programs in communities to bring about awareness of the new frontier of genome sequencing and research to future generations.Eligibility
