Lynne Sullivan Scholar-Athlete Award

Age Group: HS Jr/Sr (U18 and older)

Geographic Scope: Vermont

Purpose: Formulated in 2024 by the family of Lynne Sullivan, this award is granted to VARA member athletes U18 and older who are committed to both academics and athletics and plan to compete and study passionately beyond high school.

Selection Criteria:

• Must be a FIS level skier (Junior or Senior in HS)
• Highly regarded by coaches, teachers, and peers
• Plans to pursue ski racing after high school
• High academic achievement, based on submitted GPA and teacher recommendation (understanding that not all schools have GPAs)
• Exemplary work ethic on the hill and in the classroom
• Infectious love for the sport of ski racing

Eligibility:

• Current VARA member athletes
• Must have been a member of VARA for at least two seasons
• U18 and older
• High School Junior or Senior
• FIS level skier

• Nominations completed by coach or program director on Google Form
