Louis J. (Mattioli) Matt Music Scholarship Grant

The Louis J. (Mattioli) Matt Music Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, supports graduating seniors from public high schools in New Britain, Newington, or Plainville. Eligible students must pursue a bachelor's degree in music education or performance, demonstrate outstanding musical talent, and rank in the top 25% of their class. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from public high schools in New Britain, Newington, or Plainville who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music education or music performance at an accredited college or university. Eligible applicants must be active members of their high school music program, demonstrate outstanding musical talent on an instrument or through vocal performance, and rank in the top 25% of their senior class. Financial need is a key consideration. The award aims to encourage dedicated and talented young musicians to continue their education and develop their skills as future music educators or performers.
