Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Inc. was established in 2009 as a 501(c)3 public charity to help donors support their favorite charities while receiving maximum tax advantage. We serve as a vehicle for charitable giving, helping donors give to the causes they care about. Donor gifts will strengthen nonprofits increasing programs and services. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to establish a fund with us. Livingston County First Responders Scholarship Purpose: This fund was established to provide academic scholarships to persons who wish to serve as first responders for an agency located within Livingston County, MO. Guidelines: Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in equal payments in August and January. Amount: $1,000 to $5,000 Deadline: Applications are accepted year round.Eligibility

The applicant must be entering the profession of fire fighter, first responder, emergency medical technician, paramedic, police officer or sheriff deputy.The applicant must be a resident of Livingston County, MO or plan to become a resident of Livingston County, MO after completion of training.The applicant must commit the first three years of their service after graduation to a Livingston County, MO first responder agency.The applicant must be able to pass a drug screening test.Police officer and sheriff deputy applicants may attend a law enforcement academy of their choice. The law enforcement academy should be acceptable and approved by the committee prior to enrollment.Firefighter, emergency medical technician and paramedic applicants must receive their training through Grand River Technical School in Chillicothe, MO.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
