Little Falls Education Foundation Grant

The Little Falls Education Foundation Grant, managed by the Initiative Foundation, supports local nonprofit organizations and public schools. Established in 1986, the grant aims to enhance educational opportunities and community growth through charitable contributions. It focuses on building a sustainable endowment fund, rewarding donor generosity, and addressing critical school district needs. With a commitment to compliance and community engagement, this initiative fosters lasting improvements in the quality of life for students in the Little Falls area.

The Little Falls Education Foundation is a component fund that serves as a vehicle for gathering and distributing charitable gifts to the Little Falls Community Schools. An Advisory Board of area volunteers will be responsible for directing the funds to support worthwhile projects at the school district.
Community
The Little Falls Education Foundation is an endowment fund that will allow people to strengthen our community through a charitable contribution to benefit students of the school district. Its advisory board is comprised of local volunteers who understand that strong, viable, and inviting schools provide the basis for a growing community.
The Foundation serves the 14 counties of Central Minnesota, providing nonprofit grants, business loans, leadership training, and an array of donor services.
In partnership with Little Falls Education Foundation, the Initiative Foundation oversees and manages financial contributions for the fund. The Foundation also provides staff support to the advisory board and ensures compliance with legal and professional standards. These services allow volunteer leaders to focus on meeting community needs and enhancing the local quality of life. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, contributions to the fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Eligibility

Each year, Little Falls Education Foundation (LFEF) accepts grant applications from local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, units of government, or public school districts serving the community.Grant applications must show specifically how an organization will improve the quality of life and strengthen these communities in the one or more of the following areas:

• To build a permanent, flexible, and dependable endowment fund that benefits the students of Little Falls Community Schools.
• To serve donors and reward their generosity by helping them leave a love of lifelong learning.
• To provide leadership to address important school district needs or pursue new progressive opportunities.
