Literature Awards: Sustained Contributions The ASHP Foundation Literature Awards Program: Award for Sustained Contributions annually recognizes a pharmacist who, over the course of his/her career, has made significant contributions to biomedical literature. Administered by the ASHP Foundation since 1971, this program is based on the concept that recognition through awards stimulates research and innovation and fosters improvement in the quality of biomedical literature. The Award for Sustained Contributions is made to an individual who has a track record for publishing relevant articles of consistently high quality and impact in the primary, peer-reviewed, biomedical literature over a minimum of twenty (20) years. The recipient of this award receives: $5,000 honorarium.Public announcement via press release and other Foundation communication channels. Public recognition the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.A plaque commemorating their work. ASHP Foundation As the philanthropic arm of ASHP, the Foundation shares ASHP’s vision that medication use will be optimal, safe, and effective for all people, all of the time. Our mission is to support ASHP by advancing the professional practice of pharmacists and the pharmacy workforce by funding research and education that improves health outcomes through optimal, safe, and effective medication use.

Must have a track record for publishing relevant articles of consistently high quality and impact in the primary, peer-reviewed, biomedical literature for a minimum of twenty (20) years. ArticlesApplication requires you to submit your ten (10) highest impact contributions, these articles must have been published in a PubMed-indexed, peer-reviewed biomedical journal; andApplicants are required to submit a biographical sketch, which will be used in the review of the applicants’ overall contributions to biomedical literature.

Ineligibility

Past recipients of this award are not eligible; and Selection panel members, ASHP staff members, ASHP Foundation staff members, members of the ASHP Foundation Board of Directors, and members of the ASHP Board of Directors are not eligible to apply for this award.
