Linda Cornelius Memorial Athlete Scholarship

Funder: Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF)

Geographic Scope: Texas (preference given to applicants attending Texas colleges or universities)

Focus Areas: Educational assistance for past or present TAAF athletes pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees

Purpose: Financial support for TAAF athletes continuing their education at accredited institutions

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have competed in one or more Texas Amateur Athletic Federation state level competitions or state tournaments
• Acceptance to an accredited college or university required
• Enrollment for a minimum of 12 hours required, OR currently enrolled at a college or university in an accredited degree program
• Preference given to those attending Texas colleges or universities
• Must possess a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or pass on a pass/fail system
• Maintain minimum 12 hours per semester or graduate students must be enrolled full-time

Selection Criteria

Applications reviewed based on:

Honors, awards, and participation in activities, endeavors, volunteerism and work related to athletics and/or parks and recreation field

Completeness of submitted documentation

Other objective criteria determined by selection committee
