Lighthouse Guild Scholarship Program

Lighthouse Guild provides annual scholarships to exceptional college-bound high school students and graduate students who are legally blind. Scholarships are based on strong academic accomplishment and merit to help students with vision loss make a successful transition to college and graduate education.

Award Details

• Undergraduate Scholarships: Approximately 10 scholarships of $10,000 each
• Graduate Scholarships: One to three scholarships of up to $10,000
• Total Awarded Since 2005: Approximately $2.5 million in scholarships to students from 39 states

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be legally blind (defined as having central visual acuity of 20/200 or less after corrective lenses, or visual field of 20 degrees or less in both eyes combined)
• College-bound high school students or graduate students
• Strong academic achievement and merit-based selection
• Demonstrated personal triumph and academic achievement
