The Levitt Foundation (Levitt Family Foundation) works to strengthen the social fabric of America by activating underused outdoor public spaces with free, live music that brings people together.

Its Festival Grants offer up to $5,000 to U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits presenting free outdoor music festivals in 2027. Festivals must be held outdoors in a public space, be free to attend with no tickets, donations, pre-registration or RSVPs, prominently feature paid professional musicians, have a clear theme or programmatic focus, and run at least four hours. Applications for 2027 Festival Grants are due Friday, November 20, 2026. An informational webinar is held October 7, 2026.

U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits (fiscal sponsors accepted) presenting a festival that is outdoors in a public space, free to the public (no tickets, donations, pre-registration or RSVPs), features live music performed by compensated professional musicians, and runs at least four hours on a single day, over multiple consecutive days, or two consecutive weekends. Beginning with 2028 grants, organizations with three or more years of prior Levitt funding will not be prioritized.
