The SIOP Foundation is committed to improving the lives of workers and the functioning of organizations through the science and practice of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. The SIOP Foundation is pleased to offer graduate student fellowships, which honor the exceptional mentoring relationship between Dr. Leslie Joyce and Dr. Paul Thayer. The relationship began in graduate school and continued through Dr. Joyce’s subsequent career. The Joyce and Thayer Fellowship is designed to provide financial support to doctoral students in I-O psychology who have a special interest in talent management and who plan to have a career as an I-O practitioner. One $15,000 fellowship is awarded annually. The Joyce and Thayer Fellowship Committee (appointed by the Award Committee chair), will select the Fellow based on: The quality of the undergraduate or graduate record, including appropriateness of coursework to specialization in talent managementThe quality of the master’s thesis or research summary, both scientifically and practicallyThe clarity and realism of the statement of goals and aspirationsRelevance of any applied experience to career specializationStrength of support from faculty and/or supervisorsEligibility
