    • Award Range: $50,000 - $100,000 per year
    • Maximum Total: $200,000
    • Duration: Most grants awarded for one or two years
    • Extension: Additional funding and timelines may be extended at Board of Trustees discretion

    What LMSDR Does NOT Fund

    • Investigator salary support
    • Facilities and administrative costs of institutions
    • Travel expenses
    • Publication costs
    • Conference and workshop-related fees

    Reporting Requirements

    Grant recipients must provide:

  • Quarterly written and oral updates (January, March, July, October)

  • Highly encouraged to share materials and data with other LMSDR-funded researchers

    Background

    LMSDR was established in 2006 when there was very little research on leiomyosarcoma. Since inception, the foundation has advocated for and funded vital studies on LMS.

  • Two-Stage Application:

    1. Stage 1: Project Abstract Submission
    - Submit by August 30th to: info@LMSDR.org
    - If accepted, you will be invited to submit a detailed final application

    2. Stage 2: Final Project Application
    - Reviewed by the LMSDR Science Advisory Board
    - Board provides recommendations to Board of Trustees
    - Final decisions made by November 1st
