Legacy San Jose Alviso Youth Foundation Grant

The Legacy San Jose Alviso Youth Foundation Grant is committed to enhancing the lives of children and youth in Alviso through financial support for essential programs. This includes education, social services, and recreational activities for those aged 18 and younger. The foundation aims to empower local nonprofit organizations by providing grants that foster growth and development, ensuring equal access to opportunities regardless of background. With a focus on community enrichment, it plays a vital role in uplifting youth in the area.

The Legacy San Jose Alviso Foundation is dedicated to the well-being of children and youth through financial support of programs and services provided by nonprofit organizations: including support of education, social services, the arts, physical and mental health, and capital development.
Priorities
While the Foundation is relatively broad-based in its funding decisions, currently these are the areas of major interest for youth ages 18 or younger:

• Education of youth Services for children and youth in Alviso and in George Mayne Elementary School
• Early intervention programs for children and youth
• Recreational and enrichment activities for youth

Eligibility

Grants are made to nonprofit organizations that provide their programs and services without distinction as to race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, or sexual orientation of participating children and youth.
Grants are geographically limited to benefit youth of Alviso/San Jose, the attendance area of George Mayne Elementary School.Grants are made for a twelve-month period.

Ineligibility

Multi-year grants are not made, but requests for renewal are welcome at the completion of the 12-month cycle.
