Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship The yearlong Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship offers training and mentorship for early-career and mid-career faculty with a focus on developing scholarly writing skills for academic advancement and leadership. Early-Career Fellows Early-career fellows will benefit from a robust curriculum and deep mentorship relationships to: Develop a personalized leadership & career roadmapLearn how to recognize, navigate, and overcome the minority taxCreate a research question tailored to their specific academic responsibilities and from topics that are important to themIdentify opportunities for scholarship both within and without their institutionCreate and publish a letter to the editor as part of a small groupWrite up and submit at least one manuscript with the coaching and co-authorship of faculty and peer mentors The tuition cost for fellows is $1200. A limited number of scholarships are available to cover the fellowship tuition due to a generous gift from Drs Marjorie Bowman and Robert Choplin.
