Overview

Leadership Lycoming Program

Overview: A comprehensive community leadership development program offered by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.

Geographic Scope: Lycoming County, Pennsylvania

Program Duration: September through June (9-month program)

Program Structure:

  • Two-day retreat in September focusing on communication processes, leadership effectiveness, and community organizations

  • Monthly day-long sessions from October through June covering:

    • - Leadership & Community Service
    - History & the Arts
    - Law Enforcement & the Judiciary (includes police ride-along)
    - Education
    - Local & State Government
    - Business & Economic Development
    - Health & Human Services
    - Environment & Energy
    - Closing Session

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be employed by a Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce member business

  • Demonstrated leadership potential

  • Sincere desire to contribute time and effort within the community

  • Candidates can be nominated by their employer or self-nominated

    • Selection Process:

  • Written application (no resume required)

  • Personal interviews
