The endowment fund was created to provide a permanent funding stream to support the mission of the Lakeshore Protecting Animal Welfare Fund ("Lakeshore PAW Fund") which is "to secure, locate, and provide permanent homes for companion animals that have been displaced, or are in danger of being displaced by unfortunate circumstances." The Lakeshore PAW Fund was established in honor of the loving animal companions that have made an immense impact on the lives and work of those dedicated to animals, thereby strengthening the human-animal bond.
