Ladd & Katherine Hancher Library Foundation Grant

The Ladd & Katherine Hancher Library Foundation Grant supports public libraries serving populations of 50,000 or less in Texas. Grants range from $2,000 to $40,000 and prioritize projects that contribute educationally to the community. However, funding is not available for operating expenses or salaries. Libraries must be accredited and cannot receive grants for two consecutive years. This initiative encourages unique library vernacular in all applications.

The Ladd and Katherine Hancher Library Foundation will consider grant requests from Public Libraries serving populations of 50,000 or less. Projects are reviewed for the level of educational contribution to the community. Funding will not be considered for normal operating expenses, salaries or employee benefits. Grants can range from $2,000.00 to $40,000.00.

Eligibility

Eligibility:

Must be a public library. Library must serve a population of 50,000 or less.
Grants will not be awarded two consecutive years.
Library must serve the people of Texas.
Library asking for a grant must be accreditated by the Texas State Library.

Ineligibility

Funding will not be considered for normal operating expenses, normal salaries or employee benefits.The Ladd and Katherine Hancher Library Foundation does not endorse or support any specific programs/products.Unscrupulous marketing practices by vendors are not tolerated.
