Overview

About Us Jerry and Germaine Korum founded Korum For Kids Foundation in 1994. We support organizations and causes that improve the quality of life for children, families, and communities primarily in the South Puget Sound area. The Korum For Kids Foundation supports a variety of causes that impact children, families, and communities primarily in the South Puget Sound area each year. As a nonprofit organization, the foundation is funded by contributions from family owned automotive retailing companies and real estate holdings. What We Fund Organizations addressing the needs of those affected by disabilities, illness, or disease: We support organizations that help build up our youth with new, innovative and up to date resources in our local hospitals, education centers, and schools. Early Learning/Parental Education/Sports: We promote the early learning of youth 0-5, as well as learning opportunities for parents to become the best version of themselves to be the best early educators for their children; supporting organizations and programs such as museum programs and programs at our local colleges determined to help parents and youth together. We are big believers in sports for all youth and initiatives that build the mind, character and physical abilities of all. Expanded Learning Opportunities: We support participation in the arts, cultural learning and civic engagement, as well as the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and environmental education. Social Services that improve the quality of life and impact a positive change in the community; primarily youth: Programs or facilities that strive to meet the needs of people in our community; such as food banks and homeless shelters that seek to move the people they serve forward and upward. Those affected by mental health instabilities: We seek to partner with institutions and programs that seek to preserve health or treat, prevent and manage mental illness by giving to hospital funds, programming, and treatment services. We partner with our local and national organizations promoting suicide awareness and prevention, an epidemic claiming far too many. We continue to work in memory of Cali Noel Hall that not one more should die of an overdose and partner with local and national organizations that promote and endorse drug prevention and awareness for a crisis taking (AGAIN) far too many.
