KOH Research Grant Program

Overview:
Kaleidoscope of Hope Foundation funds ovarian cancer research through an annual research grant program. The foundation has granted over $3.25 million to ovarian cancer researchers to date.

Geographic Scope:
United States (locations of recipient institutions have included Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ), Temple University (PA), University of Pennsylvania (PA), University of Maryland, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NY), and others)

Focus Areas:

• Ovarian cancer research
• Early detection and biomarker development
• Chemotherapy resistance and novel therapeutic strategies
• Immunotherapy approaches
• Tumor genetics and genomic analysis
• Patient-derived xenograft models
• PARP inhibitor research
• Targeted therapies
• Combination therapy approaches
• Fallopian tube transformation and early carcinogenesis
• Nanosensor development for detection
• Volatile biomarker detection

Eligibility:

• Researchers and institutions conducting ovarian cancer research
• Both early-career investigators (Young Investigator Award) and established researchers eligible

Application Timeline:

• Applicant notification of application status: End of March 2026
• Half-year progress report due: November 15, 2026
• Final report due: May 15, 2027

Application Process

Required Materials:

1. Full Research Proposal - submitted by October 28, 2025
2. Progress Report - Half-year progress report due November 15, 2026
   • Maximum 3 pages narrative/data
   • One page budget report
3. Final Report - due May 15, 2027
   • 3 pages narrative
   • Final budget report
