This vision is implemented through a four decades-long goal of increasing racial equality, thriving youth and families, healthy ecosystems and environments, and a just economy. Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation (HAF+WRCF) serve the residents of Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties in California and Curry County in Oregon, including the region’s 27 Tribal Nations and historically indigenous territories. We support our four-county region through a strategic vision of: Racial Equity Thriving Youth & Families Healthy Ecosystems & Environments A Just Economy & Economic Development Klamath River Fund: Catalyst Grants The Klamath River Fund is a new program of the Humboldt Area Foundation + Wild Rivers Community Foundation (HAF+WRCF), focused on community-led climate resilience and restorative justice work. Following the unprecedented dam removal in 2023 and 2024, the Klamath River Fund will invest in and amplify restoration and revitalization efforts in the entire Klamath River Basin in the decade that follows. Catalyst Grants are meant to be responsive to community needs that would not otherwise be fulfilled by a traditional grant. Requests should be under $10,000 and have a clear start and end date.Eligibility
