Program: Ministry Scholars Program - 5 Year Bachelors to Masters in Ministry

Overview:
Scholarship available to students accepted into the Ministry Scholars Program at Bethel University. This is a specialized 5-year program combining undergraduate study in the College of Arts & Sciences with graduate-level seminary education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.00 GPA

  • Grade of "C" or better in CAS courses that meet seminary requirements

  • During fall semester of fourth year (senior standing), must demonstrate character and competency to transition to graduate level education

  • Must be admitted to the College of Arts & Sciences

  • Program director approval required for continued enrollment

  • Applications typically accepted through junior year

    How to Apply

    Step 1 — Check Application Requirements and Prerequisites
    1. Verify you meet the minimum 3.00 GPA requirement
    2. Ensure you have earned a grade of "C" or better in CAS courses that meet seminary requirements
    3. If in fall semester of fourth year (senior standing), prepare documentation of character and competency for graduate-level education

    Step 2 — Apply to the College of Arts & Sciences
    1. Complete the undergraduate application for College of Arts & Sciences
    2. Note: You can submit the Ministry Scholars application prior to CAS acceptance so both review processes happen simultaneously
    3. You cannot be selected as a Ministry Scholar until admitted to CAS

    Step 3 — Apply to the Ministry Scholars Program
    1. Complete the Ministry Scholars Program Application
    2. Provide contact information for two references:
    - One pastoral reference
    - One personal reference
    3. Send the reference form link to both references
    4. Submit all application materials
    5. Attend interview with Program Director and/or Seminary Dean if invited

    Additional Steps:
    1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine full financial aid eligibility
    2. Applications typically accepted through junior year
