How to Apply

Ministry Scholars Program Application Process

Step 1: Check Requirements and Prerequisites

  • Maintain minimum 3.00 GPA

  • Earn grade of "C" or better in CAS courses meeting seminary requirements

  • During fall semester of fourth year (senior standing), demonstrate character and competency for graduate-level education

  • Obtain approval from Ministry Scholars program director for program continuance
  • Step 2: Apply to College of Arts & Sciences

  • Complete undergraduate application to CAS

  • Note: Applicants cannot be selected as Ministry Scholars until admitted to CAS, but can submit Ministry Scholars application before CAS acceptance for simultaneous review
  • Step 3: Apply to Ministry Scholars Program

  • Complete the Ministry Scholars Program Application

  • Applications typically accepted through junior year

  • Submit reference form to one pastoral reference

  • Submit reference form to one personal reference

  • May be invited to interview with Ministry Scholars Program Director and/or Seminary Dean

  • Interview and application materials form basis for acceptance decision
  • Required Materials:

  • Pastoral reference form (sent by applicant)

  • Personal reference form (sent by applicant)

  • Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for financial aid eligibility determination
  • Selection Criteria:

  • Academic performance (3.00+ GPA, C or better in relevant courses)
