Our Mission The Kelly Family Foundation’s primary mission is providing support to organizations fostering education, mentoring relationships, welfare and the arts for young people in the Greater Boston community.

Eligibility

The grant-making process will be subject, with few exceptions, to the following guidelines.Grants will be made for the operations of organizations that provide direct services close to the need.Grants will be made to organizations in Eastern and Central Massachusetts.To be considered for a grant, an organization must have controls to ensure that money and services are properly distributed, and metrics to determine efficacy.Multi-year grants will be considered where organizations can demonstrate a longer-term plan for their effective use. Any such awards will be reviewed annually to ensure award criteria are being met. Year-end reports will be required.Organizations that have not been approved for a grant must wait three years before they reapply.No annual grant will exceed 5% of the aggregate amount to be granted in any calendar year.The median grant will be $15,000. Organizations that have not been approved for a grant must wait three years before they reapply.

The Foundation will not make capital grants, or grants to other grant making organizations.
