Kathy DeGrande Award for Excellence
Overview: This award was created to honor Kathy DeGrande who was devoted to her family, friends, and colleagues. She enjoyed life and loved traveling. She possessed qualities that are admired and cherished. Kathy was known for her sense of humor and easy-going personality. She was a respected leader in a variety of professional activities and was recognized nationally in her field. At the time of her death in March 2000, Kathy served as the vice president and chief financial officer at Research Medical Center and Research Belton Hospital.
Award Amount: $1,000 for continuing education or taxable stipend
Frequency: Presented annually
- Must be a full-time or part-time employee at a health care institution
- Any hospital staff member may be eligible
- May be nominated by a colleague or peer
