Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Grant

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations that meet established philanthropic guidelines, primarily in the greater Houston area. Since its inception in 1980, the foundation has awarded over $4.3 million to various local charities, focusing on early childhood education and development. Funding is raised through events like the Kappa Holiday Pilgrimage Home Tour and Luncheon. Grants are awarded in the spring of odd-numbered years, ensuring substantial impact on the community.

The primary purpose of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Charitable Foundation of Houston is to attract and generate financial support for distribution to charitable organizations which meet the established philanthropic guidelines.
Since 1980, the ΚΚΓ Charitable Foundation of Houston has contributed more than $4.3 million to a number of local charities, the Houston Panhellenic Association, and Kappa’s national charitable foundation. The recipients utilize the donations for programs, facilities, equipment, and scholarships for thousands.
In recent years, grant requests have increased dramatically, and grants awarded have steadily increased. These grants fulfill the mission of the foundation "to attract and generate financial support for distribution to charitable organizations that meet established philanthropic guidelines.
Funds for the charitable grants are raised through the Kappa Holiday Pilgrimage Home Tour, the Kappa Holiday Luncheon, and the philanthropic gifts of our individual members. The holiday home tour is held in even-numbered years, and the holiday luncheon in odd-numbered years. Kappa has contributed more than $4.3 million. Grants are awarded in the spring of odd-numbered years.
Private tax-deductible contributions to the Kappa Kappa Charitable Foundation of Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Eligibility

Agencies applying for grants must be verified as legitimate 501(c)(3), 170(b)(1)(A)(v), or 17(c)(1) tax-exempt organizations, must be located within the greater Houston area, and must be involved in the area of early childhood education and development. The foundation supports requests for specific purposes rather than for a general building fund or operating expenses.
